I decided to disregard my own advice and drink some red wine while I stay in and knit tonight. Though I'm not currently working on a project for The Down with Mr. X KAL, I'm thinking happy thoughts for Crazy Aunt Purl.
What follows is a photo essay of my pending evening done in the style of Crazy Aunt Purl, my knit blogging idol.

True confessions of a novice knitter!
I learned to knit a few years ago, and started a knit blog so I could keep a journal of my knitting progress (or lack thereof).
This blog is currently on hiatus, but you can find me over at my new blog, China Shepherdess, where I write about my do-it-yourself decorating and other home improvement projects.

I have to ask, what does WWCAPD stand for? Is it 'What Would Crazy Aunt Purl Do'? Or am I being really dumb, as usual. hehe ;)

Long time no see, but I'm glad I checked today because I had no idea about Crazy Aunt Purl...wow!!! I loved her site. And the knit-along...well, what could I do? (My first thought was to knit a voodoo doll).
I'll check soon to see what you're up to.

Hey! Ok, wow, I adore you :) I'm sorry it has taken me 10000 years to comment or write you, but I have been indulging in some very self-absorbed depressing contemplate-my-navel time and I have been a bad blogger and bad blog-stalker.
But I KNEW it! I KNEW you were a graphic designer or designer-y girl the first moment I saw your blog way back when and now I am convinced! Because I see your non-aliased Arial and your perfectly compressed jpegs. Ha! You are so good, these are AWESOME pics!
