Melissa - Thanks! Jill gave me the idea to make a bias scarf and then I threw in eyelets here and there to break it up.

Laura - Thanks so much!

SO pretty, Amy! I'm sure your Auntie will love it. I still haven't figured out what to do with the skein you sent me. I think some lacy scarf thing to keep close to my neck. How can you not wear alpaca next to your bear skin?

Amy

Thanks! It is very luxurious feeling. I can't wait to send it on to my aunt. Thanks again for the bias scarf idea.

I think it's hard to find patterns that looks good with handpainted yarn. Maybe you could find a good pattern for yours in that new knitting lace with handpainted yarn book.

The scarf looks great!

I will try to upload some pics of the puppy soon, but I can't even get a moment to myself. I have had no sleep. He hasn't slept through the night yet. A puppy is just like a baby. I never knew it would be likes this!

Amy

Thanks!

You are right, puppies are a lot like babies. I remember when my parent's got a puppy (miniature schnauzer). He woke everyone in the house up at all hours of the night. It was exhausting!

chris

  • True confessions of a novice knitter!
I learned to knit a few years ago, and started a knit blog so I could keep a journal of my knitting progress (or lack thereof).
