OK, I should really be posting about Orangina and how it's all finished and gorgeous and blah blah blah. BUT, instead, I have to admit it isn't quite ready. I made a silly mistake on the shoulder seams and just haven't been able to face the task of fixing them.
Instead I will distract you with my most recent knit-reated shopping -- Rebecca 30 and GGH Sollitaire to make the cute sweater with eyelet pattern (pattern #33). I'm just not so sure the yarn is the right color for me. I hadn't noticed until after ordering that it was a heathery sort of grey, and am worried that it won't look so fab with the lace pattern. I may have to re-order. If I do, that will give me time to get over myself and tackle learning how to decipher those lace knitting charts. To help me with this, I found a great resource for charted lace knitting.
I made that purchase to reward myself for finishing up a couple of projects at work. I'm also starting my weekend a bit early today and heading to the brand new H&M that is opening at the dreaded Sprawl of America. I'm more excited than I should be about this. My sister got me hooked on H&M when she lived in Glasgow and we've been waiting a very long time for H&M to come here.

I heart H&M, except I can only go to the one in the burbs. The one in the city is always so messy and crowded.
Why wouldnt grey be good? What color were you thinking? If you need help with the charts let me know!

you are going to heart having a H&M so close. Plus, Stella McCartney's line is coming very soon!
I kind of like the grey yarn for your project. Of course, I am from New York and we love the dark clothes :)
Happy knitting.

H&M is such a lovely shop! I miss Oxford Street in London....

Don't get me wrong, I love grey. I'm just not so sure about this heather-y sort of grey. Here's a link to a close-up of the yarn at the Knit Happens site. http://www.knithappens.net/shop/bean/swatches/MUEsol13.jpg
What do you guys think?
H&M wasn't as horribly crowded as I expected and I got a couple really cute things! I wish it was downtown, but I guess I can head out to the mall now and again.
The Oxford Street H&M is great and so is the Top Shop. I need to make a trip to London soon. I haven't been there for 5 years!

Thanks so much for the charted lace link! I'm sure that will be very helpful in some projects I have planned. The difficulty factor isn't something I generally use to plane my next project(s)...
H&M! That's one of my all time favorite stores. The prices are great, and the clothes are adorable. I especially love their foundational, layering stuff that never goes out of style.

I'm glad you found the link useful. I tend to obsess a bit too much about pattern difficulty. It's time for me to learn to a bit more fearless!
