You might remember that I made a brief comment in a previous post about Technorati's blog finder. The Knitting Fiend picked up on this and wrote about the problems she had noticed.
I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but this silly little knit blog has now been removed from the blog finder for the three categories I listed it under: knitting, hand knitting and knitting news. It's not like I think my blog has enough "authority" that they would pay much, if any, attention to it, so the likeliest scenario is that it's just another one of their bugs, but isn't it strange? I hope they get the kinks worked out soon.
**Update**
David Sifry of Technorati commented below, so I've updated this post a bit.
I really didn't think my blog was intentionally removed from the index, but am glad that they take the time to research what people are saying about their service, and reply back. I'm looking forward to seeing future improvements to the blog finder. For now, I'll just stick to the tag search.

It is frustrating!
The only thing to do is to keep using categories and keep pinging. Double check to make sure you have "claimed" your blog, and then hope for the best.

I can assure you that there's no malice or ill-will going on here, it is probably a bug of some kind within Blog Finder.
I've asked our engineers to look into the problems that you've been having, and we'll be in touch asap.
Sorry about the problems with the beta, and thanks for the great feedback!

Cool! Hopefully your problems will resolve themselves the way mine did!

It's not really a big deal, but I hope they do too. I've enjoyed using technorati to find new blogs. That's actually how I found your blog, Lucia.
