Poor you... I hate it when that happens. The colour is pretty, hope you're able to make is work for the OSW. Good luck!

I hope you have better luck with the OSW. The caplet is cute, thanks for linking it.

Side note--glad to hear you feel better. That flu is a horror this year.

aww I'm sorry dude!! (since when do I say dude?) anywho, there's about 54 yds (50 meters to be exact) in each one of those orangey skeins. How many yards does the pattern req? I'm sure it will work for an osw (did I just jinx you?) since it's a chunky yarn.

mmm, beaujolais nouveau! have a glass for me as well!

Laura

Argh! I hate that SO much. Never mind, a glass of vino is always a good solution!

When Jen and I get a new Anthropologie catalog, we like to make up stories about the models. I love how crazy they look: hiding out from the police in run down old houses, ordering imaginary food in abandoned diners, or being held for ransom by families of pouty men.

Thanks for the link to the patter - I was just browsing the latest catalog last night and was hoping someone would try and re-create this capelet. It's so cute!

Thank for another great pattern. It will go on my links folder. That sucks that you ran out of yarn. My yarn estimation skills are non existent, so I know how you feel.

I started this on Monday night. I found some chunky merino wool in my stash. It's no where near the same gauge, but I did a little math (and I am not good with math). I am not sure what is wrong with me, but I have frogged that thing a billion times. I keep making stupid mistakes and then last night I was ready to separate the sections and I found a hole and had to frog back to the 1 x 1 rib part. Arghhh!!! But I am being careful from now on and I keep checking to make sure there are no mistakes.

I want to finish this for my sister for X-mas.
